Children of the Night

Welcome to the world Silas and Sophie-Anne. I dealt with the moody teens and tended to the wee babes before I set out the holiday presents. Magnus was put in time-out for being an asshole. Momma was about to lose her shit with this boy. I caught Marko sneaking a drink from the bar, the little shit. That night Magnus resumed his obsession with being outdoors in the snow. While I wrote between tending to the babies, I caught Magnus sneaking a drink as well. These boys of mine!

I fed Magnus and Marko a hearty breakfast hoping they'd come home with "A"s. As expected, both boys brought their grades up. It was time to bake a cake. First Magnus blew out his candles. His new trait was: Hotheaded. Fuckity-fuck. His aspiration was to be a Master Actor. Pretty hard to do as a vampire, but that would be up to him to deal with. Next up was Marko. His new trait was Unflirty. Sucks to be Marko. He did not get that from me. His aspiration was to be an Outdoor Enthusiast. I coached Magnus on the benefits of dark meditation. Then the dude became obsessed with playing in the snow. His temper got the best of him and he smashed the dollhouse. I grounded his ass from his phone. He whined and begged, but I had zero fucks left. Then I made him repair the dollhouse. I had just sat down to write when labor started. I could hear Magnus dancing upstairs as the labor wore on.

We didn't celebrate holidays for the most part, so Thanksgiving was just another day for us. After they were all tucked in bed it was time to pick up the house and write. I sold the fifth book of my Ebony Cutlass series: Lover Released . I posted it as the first snow of the season came down. The first day of winter arrived with more snow. I splurged on some furniture for my cozy tropical greenhouse. I decided to tackle another biography. Supernatural romance books guaranteed a daily check, but the freelance biographies brought in the big money. The client approved the biography on the first submission. Kaching! I decided a little rearranging was in order as well as new furnishings. The first completed room in this house, the dining room, would finally be furnished.
