Chapter Eighteen
My day did not start out well.
I took the time to fireproof my new fireplace. I couldn't wait until the weather cooled off.
My morning went downhill after that.
The triplets were pretty good about cleaning up, so I left the mess to them so I could work on a client's biography.
The boys took that as a chance to misbehave.
Being the little shit he is, Hunter mocked Jasper while Jasper was in time-out.
I was in need of an adult beverage by the time the client approved the biography. Being knocked up ruled that out though.
I had a nice chunk of change to sink into the house. I was torn between tackling the basement, building the third story or maybe even a greenhouse. I decided I was tired of a half finished facade that lacked a roof, so I sank almost all my monies in building up. I wasn't entirely thrilled with the brick cladding. Maybe one day I'd search for a custom solution. At this point I was just happy to have a solid roof over my head. And a house that looked completed from the outside.
I thought the day would grow smoother after that. I was wrong.
I was so grateful at the end of the day for the peace and quiet. Just me and my lappy.

Lovely home dear. But I'll just sit in the corner away from the knifes.
