Chapter Sixteen

It was nice having help in the kitchen as I rewrote the biography, submitted it, had it rejected, edited it, submitted, rejected, edited, then rejected with a token payment.

I was pissed off. I now had two rejected books after many hours of work. I decided to retitle them and sell them to a publisher. When my check arrived from book sales, I chose to sink more money into the upstairs. I added a second upstairs bathroom and two more bedrooms. The toddlers would have their own room now.

I now had my own bedroom, although I wasn't sure why I bothered dragging my bed upstairs.

Off the master bedroom, I had a nursery nook. I would keep the bedroom door locked when I had infants and that would make it easier to tend to the babies without an older sibling getting in the way.

I still didn't have funds for the triplets' beds, but they now had a more finished room.

I created a study space in the upstairs landing.

The kiddos came home from school with Daria, Bianca and, and Hunter sporting 'B's. Jasper and Gavner were only pulling in 'C's.

We all relaxed before I whipped up the best grilled cheese sammies in the simverse.

Then the kids gathered around the table for homework. I questioned why I'd spent money on the four new desks upstairs.

That night as I walked around the neighborhood, I ran into Caleb and asked for more training.

He said he'd visited the new pub that popped up in our little circle. Maybe one day I'd get a chance to visit and mingle with the grown-ups.

I was not looking forward to Hunter turning into a teen, he's the worst behaved out of all the kids.

I sold off my bed and purchased a casket for the master bedroom, totes cooler.

I finished the railing on the porch, added a couple of rosebushes, and some fencing to the front of my lot.

The boys decided to use their new desks for homework without prompting. I was pleased about that.

As much as I needed to earn money, I was learning to take the time to relax. I discovered a fun game called The Sims.
