Chapter Twelve

The days flowed on and the girls had their first day of school.

I was surprised that snow was still on the ground this far into spring, but I didn't mind. It was very picturesque and the cold didn't affect me at all. My books were bringing in enough money to complete the exterior walls of the second floor.

I added a staircase and moved the twins upstairs into the big cavernous space. It was as close to having their own room I could give them at this point.

My favorite time of day was when all the kids were tucked in bed. That was my time to write, let off steam or look for company.

Once a celebrity came strolling by the square. I'm not sure who he was, but after I tried to introduce myself, the fucking asshole wouldn't give me the time of day. If he hadn't been out in the open I would have feasted on his high and mighty blood.

I spotted Vlad talking to some chick but didn't stay around to watch if he took a bite. I was bored and needed a fuck buddy. I called the mailman, Arnav Raghavan, to come over. I turned on my vampy charm.

After our encounter I sent him on his way. I didn't have time to read bedtime stories to all the triplets and one or more woke up with nightmares.

With the little ones asleep once more, I peed on the stick and the discovered I was pregnant again.

It was almost mid-spring when the snow began to melt.

One of the twins had to race outside and fertilize the bush where I entertained the donors when her sister was in our only bathroom. I almost depleted my funds to add a bathroom upstairs. It wasn't finished yet, but another toilet and tub/shower would make life easier.
